Who wrote the Book of Love?The Bible is God's love letter to us, full of instructions, words of affirmation, and directions for guidance. The Bible isn't just a "book", it is God's Word, the Bread of Life, it's even alive! Our verse for the month of July is Hebrews 4:12 (NIV) - "For the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
God uses the Bible as a sword, delving deep in to our hearts, cutting away the bad thoughts, motives and attitudes; kind of like a surgeon cutting away cancer. Sin is like cancer and can grow out of control- but reading our Bibles everyday will keep our swords sharp and our spirits healthy. The Bible isn't boring at all, there are so many epic stories- each one true! So kids, crack open your Bible and find yourselves having fun! Let your imagination go as you read and just imagine one day, we will meet many of these people we are reading about!
